| As principal of T Schaniel Architecture, Tom has run all aspects of this architectural business, from design, to construction documents, and from office management to bookkeeping. Tom is currently the principal and sole technical employee of the firm.
Before starting his own firm in January of 2001, Tom was an employee of Bill Jenkins Associates. Starting as a temporary employee in the summer of 1992 while still in school and then hired full time in August of 1993. Tom’s duties expanded from CAD drafting, to office management, engineering, and eventually adding an architectural component to this firm with his licensure in 1999. Tom also managed all drafting and junior engineering staff during his last 5 years at Bill Jenkins Associates.
Some of Tom’s other work experience includes an internship with the architectural firm Daniel Mann Johnson and Mendenhall in San Francisco, California, and internship with the City of San Francisco Planning Department and many years of part time work for Hill Electronics, in Ridgecrest, California, where Tom learned to use AutoCAD and how to assemble video annotators and solid state video recorders. |
